Jamaica Bay Programs was founded in 2001, in Kansas City, Missouri, when two entrepreneurial then-6th graders wanted better programs for their calculators. The first program was MEMORY, a game in which the player would memorize seven numbers, then enter them into the calculator. The calculator would see if the player was right and give a score. Jamaica Bay has gone on to create around fifteen high-quality programs for the TI-83 series, and more are in production as you read this.

The same two now-high school freshmen staff the company, and it is maintained for the good of bored (or simply math-puzzled) students everywhere.
